Bangsar Fish Head Corner, Lucky Garden, Bangsar
Working at an area filled with Malay food has it's pros and cons.
Yes, I get to enjoy delicious Malay dishes year in year out (except during bulan ramadan), but come weekend, I'll try my best to avoid curries and sambals.
It took quite a number of months before I finally did join Gary for a fish head curry meal. It was over 2pm when we reached and I thought there will be no food left. I was so, so wrong. The place was ultra crowded, the staffs were busy scooping dishes, deep frying chicken, squids with great efficiency.
We left the ordering to Gary, though I was rather cautious- never let a hungry man order food..
Here's our fish head curry, for 4 of us. Humongous red snapper fish head- the head was larger than mine! The curry was thick and rich, predominantly sourish as I could see loads of tomatoes in our curry. Very appetising, the curry goes perfectly with white rice. The fish was fresh, the snowy white flesh was sweet and the tangy curry complemented the meat prettily.
We had some thick, fat squids..
Springy flesh, slight crisp with the flavourful batter..A good side order to accompany the curry.
End the meal with fat, juicy deep fried chicken..
Super huge chicken, I was wondering if it is really chicken? The sheer size of it seems like a cross of chicken and turkey. Hehehe. Have it when it's fresh off the hot fryer, how can it go wrong right?
Extremely stuffed by end of our meal, it costs us RM80 (inclusive of rice, vegetables and many, many cups of cold drinks- it was a very warm day). Rather reasonable, I must say.
Bangsar Fish Head Corner is located at Lorong Ara Kiri 3, Lucky Garden, Bangsar.
