Greenwood Cafe, SS2

Taking a break from Vietnam (yes, I'm not done with it yet..hehe), think I shall write about this restaurant in SS2.

Ate this a couple of months back, I'm still not in much of a hurry to write this actually..
Greenwood cafe is located in the heart of SS2, where the selection of food is so wide, the competition is real stiff there. Luckily for Greenwood, it serves halal food, hence the group of patrons are larger for them. We decided to pop over one evening; we wanted to try something new and had heard of Greenwood.
SL decided to have fettuccine with slipper lobster and fresh oregano. It was quite a large portion, with a halved slipper lobster placed on the sides of the plate. The sauce was very strong in tomatoes, I cant really taste much herbs. We didnt seem to find any other seafood in the pasta (maybe a few squid rings?) but for RM16, well, guess that's the reason?
Bollywood Queen had seafood marinara spaghetti. The portion, again was large, hers had a generous amount of clams, squids and prawns. The same sauce was used the slipper lobster pasta. Taste was fine, though not fantastic.
I decided to have lamb chop as I didnt want any pasta nor local fare. I was nicely surprise with the serving; there was 3 chops in my plate and for RM16, I thought it was real value for money. I thought the wait of 20 minutes (it's stated in the menu of 20 mins waiting time) would justify some lip smacking chops. I took the first bite and I was delighted. The meat was juicy while the outside, though slightly charred, was crispy. Alas, my joy was short lived. The chops, at some parts, was raw. Some parts was burnt and tough. :(.
SF roast chicken served last. By now, we know that the portions in Greenwood were large. No surprises, SF had a large chicken thigh and a big serve of mash all smothered with sauce. Looks promising, SF took a bite and..well, no comments from her. Just some weird frown. So we tried some of the chicken and well, it was bland. The chicken tasted real bland, the mash was bland, heck even the sauce was bland. And the sauce had a weird corn flavour aftertaste which we didnt like.
Greenwood cafe is located at 5, Jalan SS2/67, 47300 PJ. Tel: 03-78778577

Oh, it's the old 'shall we meet'... doesn't sound too charming though, esp with Precious Pea's head-shaking. :P

I am intrigued, however, by your friend named the Bollywood Queen. Hehe. What a lovely nickname! :D
